Sandman

Sandman

At the strike of midnight
they locked the doors, the windows
and turned off the lights
theres a little red swing in the yard
but the kids are in bed from playing too hard
their all asleep, their safe it's true
as the sandman comes flying out of the blue
he sits on the roof laughing, waiting for you
looking for children to scare in the night
and fill their dreams with nothing but fright
screaming and kicking they wake up in bed
hoping to find that their really not dead
it's only a dream, it'll all go away
little do they know they should stay up and pray
but that will not help
he will be back on some other day
and the sandman is waiting
on some little kids roof
laughing, just waiting
so you fall asleep too
