Sands of Time

Clouds cover my eyes as I wander, 
Sinking deeper in the sands of time, 
Without your embrace to hold me, 
I descend into the abyss of emptiness. 
I try to follow your steps in the sand, 
But waves of solitude overcome me. 
I scream out at the rain, at the storm, 
But all I am met with is silence. 
I held your hand, I felt your breath, 
But my hand slipped away, 
And so did your Love. 
Now I wander, lost in my own sorrow. 
All I have in sadness to hold me, 
And despair to comfort me. 
Until your Love brushes my hand again, 
I shall crawl through this storm, 
I shall search for myself, 
I will roam,
