Saving a cherry tree

Saving me

Saving a cherry tree

White blossom now.Β
Cherries soon.Β
So strong.Β
So tall.Β
So proud.Β
Fourth time around.Β

First in a community gardenΒ
where it really hated the soil.Β

Then another community garden,Β
sadly vandalised.Β

Then my front gardenΒ
where it didn't really take.Β

So then the back.Β

;Now it blossoms.Β
Now it shines with white flowersΒ
and hope.Β

Lives can be saved.Β
It just takes patience, time and hope.Β

Being Me

This is really lovely. It gives us all hope, I think, in this current situation. No matter how bad the news of the virus is, the sunshine and flowers gives us a little respite from it all. Glad your cherry tree is doing well, finally. Hopefully it will reward you with some juicy cherries in the summer x

Being me,Β
This tree is such a survivor. It gives me hope. My garden is so full of metaphors.Β

Hey NIGEL!!…..The simplicity of this shines brightly, beautifully, as if to offer a subtle truth, a hope, an inkling that survival is ALWAYS a possibility!!….I lived in the Washington DC area when I was young (back here again now)....."The Cherry Blossom Festival" is here every year......celebrating a great number of trees that were a gift from China!!…..It's REALLY beautiful......take good care of that tree.....they bare beauty inside and out!!…...Great poem my friend!!…….LOVE and ROCKETS!!……..T xoΒ  : )

Hey Tony, I hope you're OK in these weird times. I think that the thing I love about this tree is what it has taught me about me. I DO NOT give up on life.Β
I never will.Β

Thanks Lisa, I was looking around the garden yesterday and I suddenly realised how much I have rescued.Β
The cherry tree, my beautiful willow, two roses, an apple tree and some bamboo.Β
I say rescued but I must admit that in law it's called theft!Β
