Scared Fish
A Bad Dream

I know I`m alone. I have to be alone.
Crackle. It goes late at night.
I know I`m alone. I know I mustn`t be alone.
Right there!
But.
It stops when it knows I`m looking.
It wants me to fear it.
Amused.
Wants to me to do its bidding.
For in this world I have no control.
The moonlight is my enemy
It rules over me.
I know it’s not friendly.
It loves the hunt.
Crackle. It goes late at night.
It likes to keep me trapped.
Giving in to my childhood fear.
A sense of dread it must feed on.
A feeling of hate.
Usually, I can see it coming.
The sound before the sight.
I can wake before it lures me in.
Crackle. It goes late at night.
I`m Scared.
The Fish of the Sea.

*Poem note - In hindsight, this poem works best if read out loud*
It is never nice being so scared. Is the "crackle" some sort of electricity?
Hi being me, to be honest, I'm not quite sure, it could be anything, but I think it's about an imaginary sound, that I dream of. Open to interpretation I must say. Thanks for your support though. The Fish of the Sea.
