Scarlet Beads

Scarlet beads fall from the desktop
The pain masking pain
Breathe; more beads fall;
morphing larger as they collide.
Praying for relief.
Begging for redemption

I'm one of the helpless begging for my life.
The dark scarlet ribbons wrap themselves around my arm.
Water.
The source of life washes the mistakes away,
but not without a painful remembrance of regret.

The cold scarlet sea, wraps its arms around me.
It whispers with its running crimson lips
Everything will be okay.
