Poem -

Scarlet Despair

Thick scarlet flows o'er darkened despair
drawing me nearer this unlived life
Torment shown through wanted wounds
from sharpened edge of my loving knife
Feeling inner warmth surround me
piercing white winter creeps within
the beckoning of sweet repose is dawning
my delicate deliverance can then begin
with wafts of brilliant soft haze about me
elation replaced my lachrymose mood
I stood up as peace filled within me
then quietly looked down and I understood

Dear Poet Sister JEANINE!!.....a marvelous insight into the transition between life and death...... your word choices manifesting as stunning phrases that have captured my curiosity and sent my minds eye reeling.....I write a blog on Metaphysics so I have an insatiable appetite for anything paranormal or the like!!.... this poem is right up there with my All-Time favorites... Not just because of the subject matter..... but it is written from a place of true understanding...., to me..,, it makes me VERY curious about the author's life experiences!!......
