Scarred

Scarred

Life has chewed, swallowed and spit me up.  Maybe it's just my ways, maybe i'm just down on my luck.  I try not to complain, because it is what it is.  Life is always a blessing, you just got to know how to live.
See but me, i'm bad at that.  I've always took people and things for granted, but I can own up to that.  All these scars in my eyes, they are not hard to see.  Everyone is so quick to judge, why can that be?  Nobody is perfect and the truth will not always set you free.

You're right, Sarah, nobody is perfect.
But there seem to be a lot of people who'd like to think they are.
We have no right to even think about judging someone until we've walked a mile in their tattered shoes.
I do think it's okay to offer good-natured advice based on our own life experiences.
Even then you gotta be careful not to come across as an arrogant know-it-all.
Nicely penned.
Good luck to ya'!
