School days 🤣

Yet I was not as tall as I wanted to be with elegance and graces

I could never run quite like the wind so I did not win any of the races

And sometimes I could be a little late to arrive at certain places..

I wasn’t very academic but I muddled my way through

I would have loved to study languages, but back in my day that was something schools didn’t do

English language was my favourite subject, I could spell everything from out of the blue

But ask for history and geography, well I didn’t have a clue..

So I was just above mediocre in my class at school

Mind you I didn’t achieve many A’s but I then again I was nobody’s fool

And alas I can recall getting wrong once or twice having to stand up like an idiot on a stool

Indeed I used to chatter far too much in lessons breaking that teacher’s silence rule..

When I look back all those years ago and reminisce me as a child

I was as free as a feathered friend just running wild

Everyone was happy-go-lucky around me so my face always smiled

But getting back to my school days, my uncaring attitude is something nowadays I would have definitely reconciled...
