Screaming inside

Kicking, screaming, fighting too
All they see is a smiling you

Screaming silently
No one can hear
It's not something that draws you near

Begging and pleading
But no one knows
While you fight these silent foes

Mascara stained cheeks
Blood stained thighs
Still they all believe your lies

Screaming for help
Over and over again
But still none hears you

Your eyes are dull
They do not shine
Still you insist that you'll be fine

Hoping someone sees
Hiding it so well
While you live in your private hell

No one notices
These silent screams
They're all inside your mind

Faking a smile
Moving along
Knowing this will all be part of your song

Silent screams
For no one to hear
Pretending to live your life with such cheer
One day it will be OK
