Seagull

Seagull

A grey, cloudy sky
A seagull up high
and I too want to fly
Way up in the clouds
Stretch my legs out
My arms into the wind
Like I'm swimming
Like a butterfly stroke
Lifting me up and up
Into the light of the sun
Diving and climbing
Swooping and stalling
Whooping with joy
as I fly In the sky
I am as happy as can be
For a moment I'm not me
