As Seasons Change...

As Seasons Change...

~When you left, I died.
I turned hard and unforgiving.
No more signs that I was living.
Pieces of me were ripped off and torn,
They fluttered to the ground
Like butterflies with broken wings.
The wind whipped around
Pushing against me.
I bent and twisted in pain,
Rooted in place, unable to flee.
I was unkempt.
I bristled at the slightest rustle.
The Dark swallowed me,
The Shadows leapt.
And then
One spark
One piece of colour
One ray of sunlight
Convinced me to carry on the fight
I saw a glow at the end of the tunnel
A mirage in the desert
The spark was fuelled, and it grew
My life within me burst forth anew.

Good write, thanks for sharing, my applause

I saw a glow at the end of the tunnel
A mirage in the desert
The spark was fuelled, and it grew
My life within me burst forth anew.
