SECRETS OF A WOULD BE POET

I go from city to city and town to town 
Look and observe and then write it down
People watching is also something I must do
A sentence or a word and I write that down too

All these things inspire me to create some prose 
I'm letting out my secret to you all I suppose 
What started out as a hobby is now an addiction 
Some poems can be based on fact others fiction 

Sure I receive criticism but I also receive praise
Makes me feel happy on the darkest of days 
Thanks to all for making time to read what I write
Another secret my best ideas come late at night
