A Seed ...

A seed is sown, a flower grows
As per the great Lord's plan -
Some other agency that knows
A lot more than mere Man.

For how that flower comes to bloom
Is beyond the realms of science - 
Beyond the workings of the womb
No matter Man's defiance.

There is a wonder to the world
On that we all agree - 
The fundamental Laws unfurled
For all us Men to see.

*

We delve into the hidden deep
Knowledge to uncover - 
To wake a Truth up from its sleep
Then to wake another.

*

But we are looking in the dark
To seek for hidden Light -
A little gem, the merest spark
Within the depths of Night.

*

What if we have just played the fool
So long we now believe - 
The answers are all in the School
Of how God can deceive.

*

What if we could plant one new seed
A great and bright idea - 
That We Create the things we need - 
New Flowers could appear!
