Poem -

Selfish love

Your body enveloped perfectly in mine
So warm, so safeΒ
My fingers trace the crinkles of your shirt
The grooves of cotton become my art
My head lies on your soft chest
Your heart-beat serenades me to love
Bedroom eyes drowning my inner soul
Your vanilla-citrus scent becomes my high
I taste you, i feel you, I want you
But the gold on your hand we do not speak
I am not your firstΒ
I am not your only
But my raw heart bleeds in your hands
You are mine, but are not mine
I silently take these vows in my heart
Please take my selfish, selfish love
