Umbilical cord
you kept me alive and well

Those 8.5 months 
weren't nearly long enough 

As soon as we 
became quickly unattached 

ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE 
everything heard from within 

Was in fact not an act 
it was MY NEW WORLD 

Umbilical cord 
we were separated at birth 

Oh how I missed you 
when I left our earth 

You always fed me 
safely we remained together 

UNTIL BIRTH
