September Song: ( Sonnet)

September Song: ( Sonnet)

This subtle September light gently seeps
Through the cracks of a broken world.
It highlights the veins of these scattered leaves.
Tender things begin to form into words
On the page, as the clouds slowly drift by.
Although these fine afternoon hours soon fade
Like dreams, a certain enchantment still lies
At the heart of September. Summer's ways
May be more playful, and more elegant,
Yet the arrival of September brings
With it a measured stillness that attracts
The heart and mind. September softly sings
into being the season of harvests
And remembrance. Its light is truly blessed.
