Waiting in the darkness
Almost pantherlike
For an unsuspecting victim
And ready to strike

Waiting so patiently 
People haven't got a clue
What's about to happen
Their life may be through

He doesn't think rationally 
Loves when he kills
This madman of the night
Has impeccable skills

To hear people scream
Gives him so much delight
And to see the blood spill
Whets his appetite 

This killer is clever
He never gets caught 
He doesn't leave a trace
Jail is never a thought

He hates the day
Always hunts at night
Stalking the streets 
By the moonlight 

He'll put a knife to your neck
And slice your throat
Watches the blood fly
But he never gloats

Or maybe he'll shove
A blade through your heart
His weapon of choice
Is what sets him apart

So this is a warning
To everyone around
This madman is loose
The streets are his playground
