Shadow
Twisting and Twirling,
Dancing through the room,
Only time tells where they will land,
Enveloping every unlit corner of the room,
Sweeping around the cat laying by the sill,
Chasing the mice scampering under its nose,
As night falls they disappear into the darkness,
Blending away with the inky sky,
Eerie moonlight dragging them back into sight,
Haunting hallucinatory whispers,
Shading those glowing eyes,
Dawns rays drag them out,
Stretching their skin longer and longer,
As the day wears on,
They encompass it all,
Shadows creeping everywhere around us.

Love this, if only the night would not bring out other shadows at times, one would always love the Shadow😁🤔
Agree with John, dark and merky, but not openly dangerous, more sleepy and cautious. That was my vibe. Awesome poem as always Bell! Kudos! Your biggest fan, TFOTS
In theory, every thing has a shadow ;)
Come again on the 22nd, and wish your Christmas without a shadow.
