The Shadow On My Wall

I don't like the shadow on my wall

He's always there in all his length and all his tall

He lays above me on my wall

With all his strength and all his talk

The devil lives in a shadow on my wall

With his long fingers like his skinny nose

Points over our heads

He thinks he can take us out of our beds

I fear him not for he's just a shadow on my wall

I do like the Spirit in my soul

I know he protects me from the shadow and all his foul

I like the Spirit that lives in my all and all

He's always there in his length and tall

He lays with me in my walls

With all his strength and all his talk

I do not fear the shadow on my wall

He has no power here

Not at all
