In the shadows

I’ll wait in the shadows for my time to shine
But I won’t wait silently with this life of mine
Pictures painted, vision clear
I’m here….
They said I wouldn’t make it, I couldn’t take it
So I wrote it in a rhyme…now they hate it
Excuse me while they whisper about me
They doubt me
I’ll wait in the shadows for my time to shine
Never silent with this life of mine
A million miles not walked in my shoes
They look confused
I took a moment to reflect
Living life, cause God hasn’t come for me yet
Pain mixed with misery
My history
I’ll wait in the shadows for my time to shine

From the darkness…I shall rise
They’re surprised
They said I didn’t have it to be
So I wrote it in a rhyme….poetry is me
Please excuse me while they say my name
No more pain
it’s never silent with this life of mine
But I shall wait in the shadows……..for my time to shine!
