Shadows of the night

As you Sleep,
I creep through the night,
knocking over bins,
hunting for rats and mice,
In the shadows of the night. 

I’m just a black cat,
 fur so smooth and shiny,
eyes that could light up the  night.

I’m an angel during the day yet a trouble during the night,
Call me shadow, 
as the shadows is where you shall find me with my big bright yellow eyes.

when all is done,
when dawn is near,
I shall creep right back home,
 you shall see me lying right beside you,
Like I have nothing to hide.
