Poem -

Shared Scars

stain my wrist
cut deep
a willing knife
watch the red
following history
etched into my palm
weep
weep
weep
from my fingertips
on the earth
crimson vignette
of searing ache

in the moonlight
blood is black
a beautiful black
like the paint
on your fingers
infused into me
subliminal parallel
to my sunless mind

maybe we are a shared obsession
love's folie à deux
dipped in blood
whistling of eagles
soaring above
witnessing black magic insanity

it isn't deep enough
to replace the ache
cut
cut
cut
into yielding skin
till that moment
our time.
