Shark Attack

The quiet of the ocean
laid beneath me on my board,
It was early morning
and a flock of seagulls soared,
The waves were lapping softly
as I began to stand,
My feet took their position
My paddle in my hand,
I dance across the water
pushing forward, left and right,
The breeze brushed up against me
Warm and welcoming delight,
Then suddenly I felt a 'thud'
It was subtle, but distinct,
And then before I knew it
I was headfirst in the drink,
I struggled to regain my air
I swam up to the top,
I felt a tightness on my leg
I pulled, but it didn't stop,
I reached into the water
couldn't see it was so dark,
I felt that tightness of my leg
Was in the jaws of a great white shark,
I started shaking violently
And hit him with my paddle,
He pulled me underneath the blue
And now it was a battle,
I hit him hard, I felt release
I scrambled to the top,
I grabbed my board and pulled myself
And out of breath, I didn't stop,
Tears were running down my face
I thought I heard a scream,
I felt him tugging on my foot
I'm having a bad dream,
The wind picked up, I caught a wave
It pulled me in to shore,
I think I made it just in time
For being at death's door,
I lived to tell....
I made it back....
The story of....
MY SHARK ATTACK!

Wow u sure have a most impressive imagination for u write it so vividly and described the scenes like one who experienced it. A shark in the dark in the ocean oh my only daredevils could manage it. Rhymed creatively awesome. Great narrative. Kudos.
I'm quite a newbie here, but have been writing and interacting for ages Pleez write your thoughts/comment on my newest poem, titled , "jumbo jet vs jays" too. I luv meeting poem pals,
I like to know different conclusions and say hi to friends thereby in this cold world.
Dear Faith,
The great white shark was after me
But I fought him "tooth" and nails
I kept my wits about me
As my leg he tried assail
.
I hit him with my paddle
I felt his jaws release
I looked up to the Heavens
Yelled "Help me God oh please"
.
Then I saw a golden ray of sunshine
As the wind brought me a wave
I knew that He had heard me
And my life He then had saved
Love,
