Poem -

BURNING --- IS MY NAME

She coated the collective mornings
astride the Harley in her bed
with rags of hidden light
across lovers strewn in breeze blown pledge
A grey Awkward sky
glimpsed the voyeur
hiding in her pale blue eyes,

Smudged maps of creeping tears
budget there path
into creasing and years
cheeks puffed as snake bitten hearts
an Orchid shivers
on the only ledge to jump from
held inside the firm safe clasp
of the last bracelet

a Rose crystal guides her thoughts
into today's movement
crumpled unread sheets
fall around the tired branches
doors once coffin lids
unscrew to dawns clear speech
stuttering birds clammer the nights
gossip

A hundred shades of green
strike arrogant daggers
into the grey smirk

She casts off the strewn lovers
laughs
laughs

and then
Laughs again
