She felt so alive

She felt so alive

She strolled along the silky sand
as she picked up a seashell in her hand
but when she held it to her ear she couldn’t understand
how she heard the sea when she was on the land

Her little feet ran down to the sea
She laughed and giggled with Oh such glee
watching the swooping Seagull flee
Oh how she loved to feel so free

The sun shone high amidst the blue
as the hazy horizon was a bleary hue
She felt so alive and so anew
Such a sensational seaside shiney view
