She Shone Too Bright

She used to wonder why,
People would pass her like ships in the night.
Never seeming to see her.
Even when id direct sight.

She wondered if she was strange. 
If she deserved to be shunned...
But then noticed that she wasn't unseen,
They just couldn't look to long at the sun.
