She Walked With Me

We setÂ
out onÂ
a secluded
hiker's trail
About
an
hour
from
Fairbanks
Where cell
service
is non
existentÂ
a Place
where
time
stood
still
We found
a
place
where
burdens
are
leftÂ
behind
and
hope
is
a guide
that navigates
upon
the path
The red fox
scurries
before
us
HumorousÂ
chatter
from an orange
tail
squirrel
gliding
from
tree to
tree
above
us
No anxiety
No fear
was allowed
on
our
journey
Only
our dreams
our connection
our tranquility
cameÂ
along
as companions
to our
excursion
At some point
in life
I had forgotten
what it meant
to absorb
the moisture
of the here andÂ
now
Â
the joy
that blooms
fromÂ
enjoying
the
moment
These experiences
had
became
like an
old photo
album
yellow
sticky
and
forgotten
Somewhere
midwayÂ
through
the route
we found
a lake
ruled
by
a beaver
andÂ
a bath tub
to the Bull ( Male Moose )
itÂ
isÂ
there
where
sheÂ
walkedÂ
with
me
that
the lost
gests
resurrected
and
I started
livingÂ
again.....
