She wants Peace

She wants Peace

Peace

She wants peace
She lay... her mind a cyclone.
Wishes upon wishes/ to find her home.
Her dwelling stands/ family inside.
The hustle and bustle/ she cannot hide.
The noises/ she tries to shut them out/ she cries.
Once upon a time/ she enjoyed her life/ mother and wife.
Not that she doesn't/ the harder it gets.
To give positive outlooks/ although she frets.
She asks/ Why must it be this way?
A struggle..... a struggle/ everyday.
She wants nothing but the best for her children/ she is the villain.
Arguments/ disagreements/ debates/ contestations.
Never a quiet moment/ within this residence/ always met with great resistance.
Her youngest child/ once so happy!
What has happened?
More often than not/ always crabby.
I feel like the monster/ hidden inside.
Always riding him/ and to whom does this mother confide?
Men lack the emotional support/ although most will retort.
Finding that one person who truly understand/ so hard.
Trying to keep things together/ not falling apart.
Ailments and disease/ difficult to hide.
I guess being a woman/ we must take it all in stride.

-This is for all women struggling.
