Poem -

SHELTER

And you walked out my door

I thought...

what a beautiful soul.

The gift of your smile,

a warm hug to brighten the day;

gifts I prayed for...answered.

The happiness brightened my weary soul

of all the pain I didn't share,

your smile washed them all away,

they were nothing to compare.

And I see us together forever

as if our souls are unified,

sheltering each other...

from this place we call home.

And you walked out my door.
