Shortest Day

Shortest Day

Time, the truly confusing hours,
Which entwines with life's celestial days,
Time is the spring, like opened flowers,
Which beckons all, you and me.

Ever near or so far away.
The ticking of the clock ticks on,
Like a repeating of a spacing day.
A summer lives, the earth upon.

For the shortest day, is the day of love,
A day of colors, reds, and yellows,
Leaves A falling, from giant oak trees,
And the flutter of the wings, the peaceful dove.

December rain, yesterdays memories.
Happy faces, tears of dark mercury
Silent talk for chattering liberty.
Ever near and so far away.
