Shuteye

Shuteye

Woah I need some sleep
Looking forward to counting sheep
I want this serine melodyΒ
To swoop me away and carry me
To the cottage in my head

I want to ride the wave of dreams
And wade my feet off in its streams
To cuddle up in my queen sized
And lay back and enjoy the ride
In my peaceful state of slumber

I want to go where my mind takes me
And I want to remember it just vaguely
Like the memory of a mystery
Sailing through out history
The sanctity of my thoughts

To be safe in my cocoonΒ
Though only in my room
A visit to the sandman
In a promising land
That I only find in nighttimeΒ

A conversation with the man on the moon
Accompanied by a mellow tune
And sounds of a gentle rain
Trickling against my window pane
Like a membrane of home
