Poem -

silence

But I pause, in the quiet snow.
Silent whispers, drawing near.
A question in the silence dwells.
Secrets in the shadows keep.
But here, in the stillness, I slow.
The snow falls, soft and light,
A blanket in the quiet night.
I stand, I breathe, I feel the peace,
In nature’s hold, my worries cease.
The woods, they call, they speak to me,
In their embrace, I am free.

This is a good example on how poetry doesn’t have to be complicated. A simple poem becomes simply beautiful when it comes from the heart. I am feeling it, the smell of the woods, the soothing silence and the cold brushing my face, and it’s peaceful. Thank you Thomas,
