Silent Killer
A ballet dancer in a far away city
Young, Beautiful, fair and pretty
Tells a story with every pirouette
Graceful twirls help her forget
Her talent for the world to see
Perfect Adagio’s sets herself free
Curtain drops with the last bow
In awe the Audience goes wow
Mesmerised their Spirits on high
Perfect Allegro’s, did you see her fly
She slips away, retreats to her life
Sad with a heart full of strife
The smile that once is now gone
Alone, feeling she doesn’t belong
Plump physic is no longer there
Thin as rake she doesn’t care
To be the best comes with pressure
Creeping in Anorexia the silent killer

brilliant, hard-hitting, sad poem x
Thank you,  Susan & Rachel,  a true story as I had to pray for the girl whom I wrote about.
Appreciate you both !
