SILLY ME

SILLY ME

WHAT IN THE WORLD
WAS I THINKING,
LEAVING THE WARMTH
OF MY ROOM
TO GO WALKING IN THE RAIN.

WHAT AN AWFUL SIGHT
A MAN HIS AGE,
PLAYING IN THE RAIN,
SAYS MISS ELAINE..

WITH HER NOSE PRESSED
AGAINST HER WINDOWPANE,
SHE EXCLAIMED..
SHAME ON HIM.

REMINISCING OF YESTERYEAR,
MY CHILDHOOD DAYS,
WHEN NOTHING FAZED.

O BOY!
I’M SO GLAD,
THIS THOUGHT WAS NOT ERASED
FROM MY DECAYING BRAIN,
I FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN,
JUST WALKING IN THE RAIN.
