Poem -

Simplicity

A wound, a gaping hole
A scar will never replace this wound
For my wound will never heal
And by despair, I am bound

A tear, for the agony of emotion
I hope happiness returns one day
You are that tear that pains me
And my pride has cast it away

A sound, an emotional plea
For I am that which weeps
My secret, my darkness
Suffocating me in my sleep

Love, a word so simple
An emotion that causes so much pain
I'm too far down in this pit of despair
As IΒ cry out, reach out to you in vain
