The sinner

The sinner

The tide is such
That no man can stop
An envious heart
For the love of Venus

That he stood before Vesuvius
Before him the angry Gods
Bring forth your fire
Upon our hearts and souls

Come now Pompeii
Cover your dead
In your grey sky
And your black heart

There we lay
Our brothers and sisters
Mothers and fathers
Transgressions taken away

The day Vesuvius erupted
It was the moment
That your deceit ended
Forever held by time

We pray to God
To forgive our sins
So that souls shall rise again
And our hearts may live once more
