Poem -

sissy

so much time has come and gone
since last i saw your face
and antiqued are the memories
of the feel of your loving embrace
though dust may settle and thousands of moons
very well have come and gone
and the many miles between us
are far greater than counted upon
the lifelong bond of sisterhood
will forego all space and time
not a moment has passed without you
in my heart, my soul, my mind
these thirty years of searching
were worth every single dead end
'cause i've found, not only my sister,
i've found my very best friend
