āJust write.ā You said.
And so, I did.
A rainy day in the balmy bush.
I love the smell, a humid musk.
Calming, calling, teasing that summer is nearly here.
I wish that it could stay this way.
With her in my arms.
When I can see the smile on Luna`s face.
I`m not standing on my knees. Not anymore.
I ask and I receive.
I donāt beg and I never plead.
Because I deserve it.
I am worth it.
In all ā behind the scenes.
I trust and I believe,
I donāt bath in lucid dreams.
Fantastic doesnāt live anywhere.
But inside oneās mind.
Between the thin bristles
and the breeze.
In Auz amongst bird chatter and chirp.
Thereās a distinct low hum.
It`s rare to find around the Earth.
The Buzz.
Honeybees go about their businesses.
Seeking out prominent flowers.
Perhaps to cross-pollinate our two pear trees.
With their delicate white blossoms.
Fruiting so sour.
Perhaps symbolic.
Astonished that I think I`ve realised no one can live
And stay young in tow
The to and trough.
And the voice sunk in my head.
But would we really want to watch the world through a child`s eyes?
The ebb, the flow.
Still softly slumbering asleep in my bed.
So sit with me.
I`ll pour a cuppa.
Under the long blue sky.
And the Gum tree leaves.
The last place of paradise.
A quiet place to be.
Sit with me.

I have to say Max, I suspect this is my favourite of yours. You have penned a beautiful, thought provoking narrative poem. Not only that but it oozes the very essence of Marion's style of writing. Somehow you tapped into her eyes and wrote. This shows skill my friend and proves how diverse a writer you can be. There is a beauty to this entire piece, that clings to that inner workings of that hidden self we all carry behind the eyes, that people don't see. But here we get a true glimpse of that inner voice. I also love the positivity laced in your words. The strength you have found and the happiness you now recognise. To end it with an invitation to sit with you is just wonderful and really places the reader by your side. A fantastic write my friend. Your writing shines
