Sitting In The Darkness

I sit in the silence of
the midnight hour
As the stars twinkle in 
the shadows of the night
Time slowly fades in 
the midnight hour
As the darkness swallows 
this soul of mine

I have shed blood that
stained these hands mine
For the pure joy of sin
enters this heart of mine 
I have took the life 
of my one true love
As I plunged the blade of
the dagger deep within 

The blood flowed like a
steady river deep in the soil
As her memory slowly faded
deep within the earth 
The light that shined in your
pale blue eyes slowly faded
When you stared in my eyes
the tears began to fall

Knowing this will be the time
my love has faded
The lies and the pain shattered 
this heart of mine
Bringing me to this judgement 
that faith has written

For my soul will be bounded 
by the chains of sin
The gates of hell will open

Feeling the heat that burns
