Skidaddles like a scalded cat!!!

“ Stay still shadow” as my shadow moves away
Yet I try my utmost to catch her each and every day
In the wee small hours when I stand tall against my garden wall.. I almost grab that stupid shadow but then I scream and I bawl
Coz that dam silly silhouette has shifted somewhere else again.. why does she play hard to get.. she is such a pain!!

I only want to tell her something she would like to hear and just as I get next to her she’s run away I fear
“OH SKINNY SHADOW WILL YOU PLEASE STAND STILL!!”
I yell looking up to her my voice is shrill..
But dam and blitherations it skidaddles like a scalded cat..I reckon it can’t hear me and must be blind as a bat!!

Why the hell does my shadow keep moving away.. I only see her at nighttime she must sleep through the day..
I just wanted to tell her she could be my twin though she is taller than me and ever so thin..
Ah well never mind I will catch her tonight when she is lurking infront of me trying to give me a fright
Haha but I’m not going to jump when I spy her standing there I shall reach out and grab her when she is unaware..?
