Skulls and Bones

Native clay shattered pottery now buried
Handmade by my people the Shawnee nation
Turquoise beads with red coral line the neck of my life
While stones bury the dead, the old, the young, and bewildered
Skulls and bones are my spirit of strength
Of eternal love and prosperity, the devils bed we do not tread
instead our spirit flies into the sky where the eagles strength is our strength
Skulls and bones become beings in our heaven
