Sleeping Princess

the princess sleeps in a castle in the clouds 
above the world so she cant be hurt by anyone. 
she is in a tower that always feels the sun 
where she can never feel the rain, hail, and snow. 
the dress she wears is made of a material
that has never been woven that is of the purest white. 
surrounding her are white roses that stand guard 
and to protect her while she sleeps. 
she wears a crown carved from a diamond 
that never slips on her head. 
the pendant on her neck is a swan wearing a crown 
in its bill is a diamond rose. 
beckoning that her prince will someday 
come to wake her from her deep sleep. 
the sun rays that flow over her are the fingers of divine 
to insure she will feel the warmth of love all the time. 
she smiles in her sleep knowing her prince
will bring the love and peace she craves so dearly. 
she waits for the moment in the sun to be forever 
with her prince when she stops dreaming.
