Sleepless Nights

Rolling over in my bed,

Reckless thoughts going through my head.

My mind filled with so much emotion,

Too much confusion.

I never know what to say,

Or how to say it right,

Everything I’m trying to hide,

Could burst out at any moment.

Playing through scenarios in my mind,

I don’t know what to believe,

So many things could happen,

Too many fights I’m destined to lose.

You could run away,

Or love me more.

Either way,

It would never be the same.

So now I lay,

Alone in my head,

Never learning to tame my thoughts...
