Sleepy Hallow

Sleepy Hallow

The full moon creeps
into the endless black sky.
Hoof beats echo in the dark forest.
A shadow, it seems,
weaves through the trees.
A whinny from the horse
fills the night air.
He comes,
with rains in one hand
and a blazing Jack-o-latern in the other,
The Headless Horseman.
Looking, Always searching,
for his lost head.
As the moon starts to leave,
and the sun starts to come,
The horse,
And the rider with no head,
Blak as night...
fade...
away....
So I tell you this children beware on
this dark moonless night
For the rider shall rise from
his eternal sleep
To find his head so he can have his
everlasting sleep
