Slow Down Please . . . . .
Jill's challenge.

I worked for an architectural practice,
they were all uni graduates - not poor old me,
told them to slow down so I knew what they meant,Β
they bit their lip - surprisingly gave me good intent.
I was not fazed, rather I was slightly amazed,
that I was accepted albeit between some false teeth;
when everyone is better, you don't know what to do,
but then I thought, hey - I'm not so bad after all.
All those qualifications disappeared, suddenly I was feared,
that's it, I spent two months designing a barbecue,
someone else had a hospital with a fancy chimney,
I said that he spent two years designing a flue.
I was good, there was nothing you could take away from me,
they were smart but not enough to do Sydney Opera House.

Thanks both.
Interesting piece, well done Terry!Β
I too went to college as a non-traditional student. I was 29 when I began my educational pursuits and thirty four at the end. Course, I still have 7 classes to take and pass to obtain my BA Degree.Β I often reflect back to the days I entered class and many of the students were fresh out of high school.Β
