Slow down time

Spiraling like a spinning top
My life is passing fast
Slow down please Oh ticking tock
Permit my time on earth to last

It seems just like yesterday
I was so very small
Never realising years would fly by
I didn’t care at all

Yet yesteryear is in my memory
Where did all those fun days go
I sigh af the thought of old
But I’m passed middle age I know

If weeks & months was like a clock
I would fix the cogs to make them slow
Then everyone on this universe
Would enjoy more years to grow

I tell the story to my children
Not long ago I was a tiny tot
But now they have their own kids
They tell my story to there lot

So now I have Grandchildren
They  look at me and smile
I bet they are thinking that
Grandma will be ancient in a while

Nevermind I tell myself
I’m lucky to be still here
Too many poeople have sadly
Lost their loved ones oh so dear
