Smile Everybody

Smile everybody, smile

It's good for your heart and soul

Frowning is nasty and not recommended

It leaves a great big hole

After many years of observing

Though I'm not an expert, I've found

This amazing revelation to be absolutely true

A smile is a frown upside down

Which would you rather be

Happy as hell with a joyful heart

Or walk around with a scowl on your face

Till all your friendships depart

Perhaps you've noted a theme

Running through my words so wise

Words of love and passion for all human kind

Wearing a perpetual, joyous smile

Don't wish to bore you, friends

With these constant poems about love

But in the remaining years this old geezer has

Nothing else gives my heart a shove
