SNAIL AND SLUG

The snail and the slug were best of friends
To call them slow well that often offends
Both of them get to where they are going
I would say rather quickly no signs of slowing

Always on the lookout for food every day
These creatures had a skin of brownish gray
They lived just near to the garden wall
Most happy when they are curled in a ball

The garden spade is the enemy of these two
Looking for a rock is what they must do
Be like me and love both the snail and the slug
To call them pests is just piffle and humbug
