Snow
A man sits alone under a coconut tree
Watching the boats in the sea
He wants to open a new door in his life
But he just can’t find the key
He looks at pictures of other countries
And he lets his imagination slips away
because he lives on a tropical island
But oh, how he wishes to touch snow one day
A girl tends to her herds of sheep’s
In the hot African continent
she’s thinking of a story someone told her once
Of a place that he had gone to before
And he told her stories of America
and about the winter and how it was so cold
And she always wishes to play in the snow
Ever since she was a little girl
The simple things that we take for granted
Will mean so much in someone’s else’s life’s
If we look around us everywhere
There is beauty right before our eyes
A couple of stocks up on grocery items
for the blizzards, that is coming today
they also buy a few bags of snow salt
And scattered it on their driveway
The snowfall was more than we wanted
and everyone was out shoveling
They said I wish we lived on a tropical island
and never see snow again
A lady waits at the cold bus stop
she's freezing from head to toes
She wants to move to back Trinidad
And never buy any more winter clothes
Everyone wishes for something
But not all dreams can come true
Some dreams are impossible
But still, I only wish for you
To touch snow and play in the snow
Is something many wishes for
And some wants to be on the beach
With the sunshine right outside your door
But if we don’t have wishes
Then our lives will be stagnant all the time
and what else would we have to think about
if we don’t fantasize and daydream from time to time
people will keep wishing for what they want
As long as the sky is blue
Some hope for snow the sun and rain
But to the girl I love, my heart only wish for you
