Snow In The Rain

My Chinese poem, written on 2018-01-27, is a poetic remake of the beautiful essay “It's Snowing In Chengdu「成都下雪了」” by Hongye (紅葉), as shown in the image. Here is my English version, also composed on 2018-01-27. Minor modification on 2020-11-29. By Yiyan HAN (c).
It's snowing
mixed with rain
The rain comes straight down
while the snow flies, dancing in the air
disturbing the rain's footsteps
Raindrops march in goose step
at the same pace and rhythm
silently repeating 1,2,3,4
All with the same posture, no individuality
in the name of collective and unity
they rush towards earth
Snowflakes play mischievously
dancing in the wind. Some spin a waltz
Others a passionate tango, or the alluring cha cha cha
There's no conductor, nor unity
Each shows its own personality
No two snowflakes are identical
O, each one itself is enjoying and performing
the only dance of its lifetime
Who will be embraced by the Mother Earth -
Snow or rain or both

Thanks, Jim, for your liking.
Nice write
Thank you.
This is quite beautiful YIYAN!!,,,,and I can see how some of it may have been lost in translation.....which for me means.....that we're only seeing/reading a portion of the beauty that you (as the writer) originally intended!!......ALL STARS!!....well done dear poet brother!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo : )
Thank you, Tony. There always be a subtle difference between my Chinese and English writing on the same topic.
Re translation, It really depends. A good translator can enhance or enrich the original write, may I say - usually readers who know both language and culture recognise a good one :)
